Hi, we’re Jamie & Amie Fairbairn, founders and operators of Fairbairn Builders. As long-time Tauranga locals and parents to two boys, we’re passionate about building high-quality homes that stand the test of time.
Fairbairn Builders was established in 2010 by Jamie, who has been in the residential building industry for over 27 years. After completing his apprenticeship straight out of school, he worked on premium homes in Tauranga before expanding his expertise overseas in the UK. Upon returning, he founded Fairbairn Builders to bring his passion for quality craftsmanship and architectural detail to life.
Amie plays a key role in running the company, handling accounts and administration. With a Business Degree and experience as an Accounting Technician, she ensures the business runs smoothly while balancing family life.
At Fairbairn Builders, we believe in clear communication, exceptional workmanship, and a hands-on approach to every project. Our goal is to make your building experience seamless, transparent, and enjoyable—so you can feel confident in every step of the journey.
Jamie Fairbairn - Director
Jamie is a highly accomplished and licensed building practitioner, with an impressive track record of more than 25 years in the building industry. Having successfully undertaken building and project management endeavors in both the Bay of Plenty and the UK, Jamie took the initiative to establish Fairbairn Builders a upon his return to New Zealand in 2010.
With an extensive reservoir of knowledge in the building sector, Jamie's expertise proves to be invaluable in every building project he undertakes. Meticulous attention to detail and an unwavering commitment to efficiency are hallmarks that distinguish Fairbairn Builders from its peers.
Outside of his professional pursuits, Jamie spends time with his young family, and he enjoys the outdoors, where his passion for deer hunting and fishing thrives.
Amie Fairbairn - Accounts Manager
Amie Fairbairn, Jamie's Wife is Accounts Manager for Fairbairn Builders and brings with her a wealth of expertise in the field of accounting. She is a qualified Accounting Technician, having obtained certification through Chartered Accountants NZ, in addition to possessing a Bachelor of Business Studies from AUT.
With a solid foundation in administration and accounts, Amie demonstrates an unwavering commitment to precision and efficiency, consistently striving to streamline processes to their utmost simplicity. Her approachable, organised and loves a good spreadsheet. Her strong sense of dedication and attention to detail ensure that tasks are executed with the highest level of accuracy.
Beyond her professional endeavors, Amie nurtures a passion for outdoor activities and cherishes quality time spent with her family.
